Retired/disabled Army veteran of the first Gulf War, with service in Korea as well. Former legal secretary and veterans advocate. I love to laugh and make people laugh. I like all kinds of music and all kinds of food. I am a big time animal lover. My politics are conservative, my religion is Christian (though not formal). I follow current events daily, but I consider myself to be more of a pop culture junkie with an especial liking for police dramas (especially those from the BBC and ITV.) I enjoy dining out, the beach, museums, art galleries, and parks. My pursuits are pretty quiet: reading, writing, painting, drawing, PC games, DIY, and spending time with my cat whom I have had for 15 years. I also spend Saturday or Sunday of almost every week with my brother and his family; I moved here to Florida from my childhood home in New Jersey this past January, so I could be closer to all of them. I like to have fun, but I don't need a lot of excitement or danger. For heritage, I am first and foremost American, plus English, German, Italian, and French. I love languages and am self-taught in Korean and Spanish. One negative thing I could add is that I suffer from adult acne, and sometimes the break outs can be pretty bad. At one time I wanted to be someone to the world; now I just want to be the world to someone. I want an intimate friendship, but not just a hookup. Something exclusive, or at least steady. I just don't want to get married or live with anyone at this point. I would prefer someone who is close by because I would like to spend time with one another a few times a week. I am a very affectionate person, but I am turned off by physical aggression. Sense of humor is a must! Luck??? |
